The Department of Biomedical Engineering, College of Engineering at Texas A&M University invites applications for full-time tenured faculty positions at the rank of full professor. This position has a 9-month academic appointment beginning January 2027 or a start date to be negotiated. Applications are especially encouraged from individuals with efforts in bone biomechanics and osteomyelitis. Candidates in other research areas that synergize with our existing strengths will be considered. Such areas include engineering for accessible health care, cardiovascular engineering, pediatric technologies, and regenerative engineering (https://engineering.tamu.edu/biomedical/research/index.html).
Candidates are expected to have a track record of impactful and internationally-recognized research programs supported primarily through external grants and awards, as well as have demonstrated leadership skills. The successful candidate will be required to teach in the classroom; develop and maintain an independent externally funded research program; advise and mentor graduate students; participate in all aspects of the department’s activities; and serve the profession.
