Job Description

The William F. Connell School of Nursing at Boston College welcomes qualified applicants for a tenured Associate or Full Professor position.

This is a high-level academic appointment within the Connell School of Nursing. The successful applicant will have a record of producing and disseminating research papers and scholarly work, excellence in teaching, and demonstrated colleagueship needed in the academic community. The CSON values faculty who can join our mission to prepare nurses and scholars whose practice and scholarship reflect a humanistic ethic and are scientifically based, technically competent, and highly compassionate. We seek an individual who is a lifelong learner and will use knowledge in service to others.

The expected 9-month base salary range (paid over 12 months) for this position is $130,000-140,000 for the Associate Professor rank, and $150,000-180,000 for the Professor Rank. The actual pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as, but not limited to, candidate qualifications and prior experience, scope of responsibilities, internal equity, and market considerations.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a research-based terminal degree in nursing or a related field and an active program of research/scholarship. This faculty position will start July 1, 2027.
