Job Description

I E University´s School of Science and Technology invites qualified applicants for full-time, tenure-track faculty positions in Computer Science, beginning September 2027 in Madrid. To guarantee full consideration for a position, applications must be completed by October 31st, 2026.

Applicants for this position should demonstrate a strong research record in core areas of networks and complex systems, including: graph learning, graph neural networks, network representation learning, temporal and dynamic graphs, network optimization, complex systems modeling, network science, community detection, diffusion processes, graph signal processing, knowledge graphs, multi-layer networks, hypergraphs, causal networks, recommendation algorithms.

These fundamental methods should be demonstrated through applications in domains such as: systems biology, neuroscience, epidemiology, social networks, anomaly detection, cybersecurity, multi-agent systems, swarm robotics, transportation networks, communication networks, power grids, infrastructure planning, supply chains, financial networks, or smart cities.

Qualifications

  • PhD in computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • Excellence in research evidenced primarily by sustained contributions and publications in top-ranked and field relevant journals.
  • Independence and ability to lead research projects in your field. New faculty is expected to submit research proposals to attract funds in competitive calls.
  • Ability to participate in applied research and knowledge transfer in interdisciplinary teams at the interface between technical and application-oriented domains.
  • Strong commitment to teaching curricula in and around computer science.
  • Spanish language skills are not required. Our working language is English. Both our faculty and student body are highly diverse and international.
