
The Finance Department of IE University is seeking candidates in all areas of Financefor a tenure-track Assistant Professorship beginning September 2027.
The Finance Department is part of a university research cluster that combines advanced empirical methods with rigorous theoretical models to study the policies and mechanisms shaping markets and society. Institutions, firms, and markets play a critical role in resource allocation and the functioning of modern economies.
This cluster examines these dynamics to generate evidence-based insights that support smarter policy design and enrich public debate. The Department’s research focuses on financial and real estate markets, corporate finance, managerial incentive structures, macro-finance interactions, and sustainable finance. We particularly welcome applicants whose research aligns with these areas and who employ cutting-edge AI tools in their work.
The successful candidate will be expected to publish in top-tier peer-reviewed journals and to become an excellent teacher in our programs. By the starting date, applicants should have a PhD degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics (with strong research credentials in Finance) from an internationally recognized school.
Spanish language skills are not required. Our working language is English. Both our faculty and student body are highly diverse and international.
