
The Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the tenure track. Applicants must have an M.D./Ph.D degree. Selected candidates will be board certified/eligible in Pulmonary Medicine and/or Critical Care Medicine.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching within the health system and/or VA system, as well as trainee mentorship and participation as an active member of Penn graduate programs based on the candidate’s research focus.
Clinical responsibilities may include care for patients at the outpatient clinics and/or as an attending on the inpatient service.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include establishing an innovative, independent research program that will attract and maintain extramural funding from various sources.
Selected candidates will demonstrate a productive track record with an ability to perform fundamental lung biology research. Candidates with a research program focused on pulmonary vascular biology or airways biology are particularly encouraged to apply.
