Job Description

The School of Computing and Data Sciences invites applications for founding faculty members in multiple open-rank, tenured, or tenure-track positions. The School is particularly interested in candidates working across core areas of computation and data science including the theoretical underpinnings of computing and artificial intelligence, as well as their interdisciplinary connections to other fields such as digital humanities and computational social sciences; health and biosciences; natural and earth sciences; and decision, risk, and operations.

Candidates demonstrating scholarly and teaching excellence, a commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration, and an interest in responsible innovation are encouraged to apply. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until all positions are filled.

Qualifications

By the start date, candidates will naturally have completed a PhD. The successful applicants will show a growing record of scholarship in their area(s) of specialization, together with the potential and motivation to contribute high-quality, impactful research to leading academic journals and/or conferences. They will also bring a strong foundation and enthusiasm for developing a successful teaching career across the School’s diverse undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
