The role is responsible for leading and managing assigned tenders in accordance with NOV procedures to maximize business opportunities, supporting sales teams in client communications and relationship building, ensuring a consistent and efficient tender process, achieving management objectives in line with business strategy, coordinating effectively with Sales, Procurement, and Operations, and managing tender-related risks in compliance with company procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The responsibilities of the Tender Manager shall include, but are not limited to, those contained in the following statements:

  • Lead and manage the assigned tenders from handover from BD&S until job is secured/lost.
  • Support Sales Teams in client correspondence, communication and in building Client relations to maximize current and future opportunities
  • Actively provide input and work with the tender procedures and tools to ensure they are continuously updated according to Tender group’s needs.
  • Performance targets for the year to be established every year as per instructions from NOV Division Board and NOV Group and managed through standard business processes
  • Participate within the tender team in accordance with NOV strategy as well as Business objectives
  • Maximize the tender winning chances by continuously working with BD&S, Technology team, Procurement, Engineering and Management to optimize Tender solutions and concept from handover from BD&S to submission
  • Ensure proper interface communication with Sales, Procurement & Operation Functions
  • Ensure risk management of assigned tender as per company procedure

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/SKILL-SET REQUIRED:

  • Minimum 8 years relevant experience from oilfield services or similar industry
  • Technical degree, preferably in Engineering
  • Experience from Sales/Tendering/Project management/Engineering processes in the oil & gas industry
  • Extensive knowledge of project and tender execution principles
  • Excellent commercial awareness
  • Continuous improvement focus
  • Skilled in developing high-quality, persuasive tender documentation that is clear, engaging, and tailored to client requirements while effectively positioning the business for success.
  • Fluent in English both written and verbal, Arabic is added advantage.
