Do you want to lead a talented tendering team and turn complex customer requirements into competitive technical and commercial proposals?
GE Vernova is looking for an exceptional Tendering Team Leader to join our Power Transmission team, within Grid Solutions, based in Stafford, United Kingdom.
With over 130 years of experience and proven innovation, GE Vernova is helping lead a new era of energy. We are electrifying the world while working to decarbonise it.
Our name reflects our mission. “GE” carries a legacy of quality and ingenuity. “Ver” signals Earth’s lush ecosystems, while “Nova” represents the new era of lower-carbon energy that we are helping to deliver.

GE Vernova’s Grid Solutions business is a global leader in power transmission and distribution technologies, equipment, systems and services. We work with utilities and industries to strengthen electrical networks and support the transition towards a more reliable, resilient and sustainable energy system.
As Tendering Team Leader, you will lead a team of four Tender Specialists and shape how customer requirements are turned into accurate, competitive and timely proposals.
You will act as the vital link between Sales and Tendering, ensuring that every new enquiry is clearly understood, prioritised and assigned to the right person. From smaller spare-parts and maintenance requests to complex, multimillion-pound projects, you will guide your team through the full tendering process.
This is a newly strengthened leadership position with direct line-management responsibility. You will contribute to the Stafford local management team and, over time, help extend the team’s tendering support across the wider region, including the Nordics.
You should be a natural people leader with strong commercial awareness and a talent for bringing structure to complex, fast-moving work. You will bring:
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification would be beneficial; however, we are equally interested in the knowledge and capability you may have developed through relevant professional experience.
Previous experience in tendering, bid or proposal management would be advantageous but is not essential. Experience within power transmission, energy, utilities, engineering or a related industrial sector would also be beneficial. We welcome applications from candidates whose relevant leadership and commercial experience has been gained in an adjacent industry.
This is a permanent position based in our Stafford office. We have a hybrid working model that gives you flexibility to work from the office and from home.
We value collaboration and connection, so you will typically be based in our Stafford office three days per week. Additional office presence may be required during your initial onboarding while you become familiar with the team, business, products and tendering processes.
Travel is expected to be minimal, although occasional site visits may be required to help you develop a practical understanding of our equipment and its application.
Every action shapes our future. That is why our north star is a culture of impact, where everyone is empowered to thrive and achieve.
