We’re looking for an experienced Tendering Engineer to join our Electrification & Automation team. This is an exciting opportunity to combine your technical expertise with commercial acumen, analytical thinking and a passion for continuous improvement.

You’ll play an important role in developing technically strong and commercially competitive proposals across our Protection & Automation portfolio, while also contributing to pricing strategy, process optimisation, digitalisation and business excellence initiatives.

Working closely with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Channel Partners and customers, you’ll help deliver solutions that meet customer requirements while supporting profitable growth and an exceptional customer experience.

What you’ll do

• Develop technical and commercial tenders across Siemens’ Protection & Automation portfolio, ensuring solutions meet customer requirements.
• Analyse RFQs and specifications, prepare compliance documentation and coordinate inputs from key stakeholders.
• Provide technical support across SIPROTEC, Reyrolle, SICAM, RTU and communication solutions.
• Develop and manage pricing models, estimates and commercial proposals to support competitive and profitable outcomes.
• Work with Sales, Engineering, Product Management and Operations to develop customer-focused solutions.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and digitalise tendering and pricing processes.
• Use KPIs, data and market insights to improve tender performance, pricing and business outcomes.
• Support continuous improvement and business excellence initiatives across the Electrification & Automation business.

What you’ll bring

• An engineering qualification or equivalent technical experience, ideally within electrical engineering, power systems, automation or a related discipline.
• Experience working with protection, substation automation, RTU, control or communication systems.
• Experience in tendering, proposals, estimating, pricing or technical sales within an electrical, energy or industrial environment.
• Strong commercial and analytical capability, with the ability to turn data and insights into practical business decisions.
• A continuous improvement mindset and an interest in process optimisation, automation and digitalisation.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• A structured, proactive approach with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
