The Tender Pricing & Excellence Manager is a strategic role responsible for driving sustainable and profitable growth of the Sandoz Bio & Specialty portfolio through pricing excellence, tender shaping and robust governance. The role serves as the center of excellence for tender pricing, providing data-driven recommendations that balance competitiveness, profitability and long-term portfolio value.

By combining pricing strategy, tender intelligence, governance and advanced analytics, the role enables smarter tender decisions, protects portfolio profitability and strengthens Sandoz's position in the hospital market. The role also leads the development of scalable tools, analytics and AI-enabled capabilities that support consistent, transparent and efficient management of a high-volume tender environment.

Job Description

Key responsibilities:

  1. Pricing Strategy, Recommendations & Tender Shaping
  • Develop and maintain pricing strategies, pricing guidelines and price corridors (floor, target, stretch and walk-away prices) for Specialty / Hospital Business products.
  • Provide data-driven pricing recommendations for injectable and biosimilar products by integrating profitability, tender value, competitor behavior, historical tender outcomes, hospital potential and expected winning probability.
  • Lead tender shaping activities, identifying opportunities to shape tenders through portfolio-based offerings.
  • Monitor market dynamics, competitor pricing behavior, price erosion trends, win/loss performance and account-level tender developments to identify risks and opportunities to refine pricing recommendations.
  • Prepare pricing recommendations and strategic tender briefs for high-impact tenders, including scenario modelling, financial implications, risk assessment and recommended bidding approaches.
  1. Pricing Governance & Business Decision Support
  • Establish and continuously improve tender pricing governance, including tender segmentation (Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3), approval thresholds, escalation pathways and exception-management processes.
  • Define and implement decision frameworks.
  • Partner closely with Commercial, Tender Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Market Access and Business Operations teams to ensure pricing recommendations are commercially relevant, operationally feasible and aligned with portfolio priorities.
  • Deliver strategic insights and recommendations to leadership.
  1. Tender Intelligence, Tools & Reporting
  • Develop and enhance tender intelligence capabilities, including centralized tender databases, pricing analytics, competitor intelligence, historical benchmarks and automated recommendation tools.
  • Drive continuous improvement and digital transformation initiatives (using both internal recourses and external solutions,including AI-enabled pricing analytics).

Our Requirements:

  • 7-10+ years of experience across Pricing, Tender Management, Commercial Excellence, Market Access or Finance - ideally in Pharma or related industry.
  • University degree.
  • Strong hospital tender expertise, preferably in biosimilars, injectables or specialty medicines.
  • Proven pricing and profitability management experience, balancing growth, margin and competitive dynamics.
  • Highly analytical, with advanced Excel, Power BI and experience working with large commercial datasets and pricing models.
  • Strategic thinker capable of translating market intelligence into pricing recommendations and tender-shaping strategies.
  • Strong stakeholder influencer, able to challenge commercial teams and drive decisions across cross-functional leadership groups.
  • Digital and innovation mindset, with interest in automation, AI-enabled analytics and tender intelligence solution

Compensation Structure & Criteria:

Sandoz compensation is determined by job level, qualifications, niche skills, experience, and location within company salary ranges. Fully proficient and highly effective employees can expect a starting salary around market median, with those new to the level or with less functional depth at the lower end of the range and those with sustained superior or niche skills towards the higher end of the range. Internal equity and external market data inform our range placement. Annual salary reviews consider performance outcomes, market alignment, and business needs.

Work mode: hybrid

Pay range (monthly salary): gross/zł 20 866- 38 750

Variable compensation:

  • Annual performance-based bonus: 18%
