Make your mark as a tender manager for Boskalis Subsea Cables by leading the tender process, winning challenging projects, and building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders!

As tender manager you are responsible for the tender from start to finish. You lead, motivate, and coach your tender team and ensure they can perform at their best. You have a focus on smooth and timely delivery of our proposals towards our clients and at the same time you make sure that company standards are fully considered. All with the goal of creating that winning bid.

Your main area of focus will be on tenders related to the energy transition, specifically in the Offshore Wind sector. Your clients will primarily be energy infrastructure developers and transmission system operators. As a leader of the tender team, you will have the opportunity to win unique offshore projects, such as the installation scope for large offshore wind farms like Hollandse Kust West Beta, Ostwind II, Baltica 2!

Your responsibilities as a tender manager

• Foster strong communication and understanding with the client to accurately grasp their needs and requirements. Provide valuable advice on tender strategies, implement them, monitor progress, and take proactive measures in case of any deviations from the strategy.
• Excel as a team player by overseeing the entire tender process. Ensure that the proposal aligns with all commercial, technical, and contractual requirements and guidelines, guaranteeing a comprehensive and compelling submission.
• Take charge of coordinating the supply chain management process and actively participate in negotiations for strategic subcontracts. Ensuring optimal efficiency and effectiveness in the procurement of necessary resources.
• Skillfully negotiate with the client and maintain strong relationships with all parties involved, both internally and externally. Fostering a collaborative and harmonious working environment, leading to successful project outcomes.
• After securing the tender, collaborate closely with the Project Team to seamlessly hand over the awarded work. Ensuring a smooth transition and set the stage for a successful project execution.

Your qualities

You can make your mark as a tender manager if you have:

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in (executing) projects and/or tenders in the offshore sector.
• A finished bachelor’s or master’s degree in either a technical or nautical field.
• Affinity with the legal, financial, and commercial aspects of tenders.
• The preparedness for short-term international travels.
• A good command of written and spoken English.

• Your team: You will work as a tender manager in our business unit Subsea Cables. In multidisciplinary teams consisting of up to 20 professionals you will work on the acquisition of subsea cable installation projects in the Offshore Energy and Oil & Gas market. The team is characterized by the informal yet professional way of working together, flexibility, adaptability, and passion for the Subsea Cables market.
• Where you will work: You are based at our campus in Papendrecht or office in Wynyard (UK).
• Full-time position: The function of tender manager is a full-time position (40 hours a week).
