Purpose

Within GE Vernova and Grid Solutions, the FACTS Product Delivery Group (PDG) is fully accountable for costing (ITO) and providing (OTR) integrated FACTS solutions worldwide. As such, it owns its tendering force, operations, R&D and product management. It benefits from a complete portfolio of solutions/products to propose electrical reactive power compensations options to Grid Operators, TSOs, Developers…

GE FACTS portfolio is the most complete of the marketplace and it is composed of FSC, Synchronous Condensers, SVC and STATCOM. For which GE holds either a market / product leadership positions or a main contender position.

An overall growth plan has been elaborated focusing on either technical leapfrogs or market exploration/acquisitions to reach our growth objectives. To support it, our commercial intensity in the Power Electronics (STATCOM/SVC) area is of paramount importance, we are hiring a Tendering Manager to lead our technical proposal.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Responsible to Lead the FACTS Technical team to find the best solution for our customers.
  • Cost the entire solution according to the Execution and Commercial Strategy defined.
  • Define the execution technical strategy with Technical and Operation Team.
  • Support and interacting with all stakeholders of the company (Commercial Operation, Finance, Legal and Account Management teams) to support the commercial strategy approved for the deal.
  • Coordinate all aspects of the bid development within PDG and involved Regions during inquiry-to-order phase (ITO), including proposal development, risk management & mitigation plan.
  • Ensure that the offers/GE's Grid Solutions are appropriate to the requirements of the customers and in full compliance with the company governance.
  • Go through the Approval Process to approve the deal and submit the offer.
  • Willing to win, challenge the “Status Quo” to find the best technical solution to the customer.
  • Ensure clean hand off over to the execution team (OTR).

Qualifications/Requirements

  • This role requires advanced experience in the Tendering & Proposals. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • At least 2 years’ experience in Solution Business or Turnkey's Tenders for Transmission or FACTS market.
  • Ability to structure creative solutions to support customers, negotiate contracts, and deal effectively with diverse customers and partners. Experience with customer specification review, Terms & Conditions a proposal development.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan and execute programs. Established project management skills.
  • Fluent in written & spoken English.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $98,400.00 and $164,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
