As Australia's digital economy continues to accelerate, Siemens is playing a critical role in enabling the next generation of data centre infrastructure. Through our Electrification & Automation business, we deliver innovative power distribution, automation, digitalisation and energy solutions that help hyperscale, colocation and enterprise customers build resilient, sustainable and high-performing facilities.

Siemens are looking for a detail-oriented and commercially aware Tender Engineer to support the delivery of high-quality bids and proposals for data centre opportunities across Australia. Working closely with the Bid Leader and collaborating across engineering, sales, and commercial teams, you'll play a critical part in developing technically sound, competitive, and customer-focused tender submissions that leverage Siemens' leading Electrification and Automation technologies.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to complex, mission-critical infrastructure bids in one of the fastest-growing market segments. The successful candidate will:

• Prepare and coordinate technical and commercial tender submissions, analysing RFQs and RFPs to define system architectures, equipment selection, and technical compliance across Siemens' MV/LV, power distribution, automation, and digital solutions portfolio
• Support the Bid Leader throughout the end-to-end bid process, coordinating inputs from engineering, procurement, commercial, and delivery teams while maintaining rigorous document organisation and version control
• Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, pricing inputs, and bills of materials, and identify and document technical and commercial risks, assumptions, and exclusions in collaboration with legal and commercial teams
• Contribute to integrating automation, electrification, and digitalisation solutions into cohesive offerings, supporting the development of value propositions and responding to technical clarifications from customers during the bid phase
• Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned, building standardised solution libraries, and staying current on data centre trends, technologies, and customer expectations

You'll have experience in tendering, proposals, or engineering within electrical, infrastructure, or industrial sectors, with a solid understanding of MV/LV systems, power distribution, switchgear, and critical infrastructure. You're highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines, and you bring strong technical writing, costing, and stakeholder coordination skills. A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is preferred, and experience in data centre, utilities, or mission-critical environments is a strong advantage.

You're collaborative and proactive, working effectively across engineering, sales, and delivery teams to drive bid outcomes. You have an eye for detail and a commercial mindset — understanding the balance between cost, risk, and value — and you're always looking for ways to improve processes and share knowledge across the team.
