This tender engineer role will be focusing initially deploying tenders tools across ITO (Inquiry to Order) organizations in the region and PDGs (Engineering, supply chain, proposal manager and construction). The tender engineer to lead wing to wing tools adoption following processes.
The role is expected to demonstrate technical leadership, team work capability and the ability to keep up with evolving technologies in GSI domain, versatile in adapting new product platforms and mentor the junior members of the team and other colleagues. In this role, you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute team and self objectives, and possess the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
The Tender Engineer will play a key role in supporting the sales and business development by providing technical expertise in the design of electrification solutions for the HVDC & EHV/HV Substations. This individual will be responsible for system design, material selection, quantity estimation, various engineering activities associated for a tender and customer technical consultations. The candidate will also ensure that the proposed solutions meet customer needs while adhering to industry standards, safety regulations, quality requirements and cost-efficiency objectives.
The candidate shall execute with association of workgroups, where applicable, in order to meet assigned objectives. In this role, the candidate will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.
The candidate will work with GSI Global Engineering Centre (GSI GEC) to coordinate with the GSI Regions / Business Lines / as per Project requirement.
