A Day in the Life

The position plays a critical role in supporting the business through effective tender and contract management, ensuring commercially sound, compliant, and competitive submissions. Acting as a central coordination point, the role works closely with management and cross functional teams to prepare technical and pricing documentation, manage approvals, and oversee tender processes from identification through submission. The position ensures alignment with company policies, local legislation, and strategic pricing objectives while supporting sustainable and profitable growth.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Act as an established individual contributor responsible for the end to end preparation, analysis, and submission of tenders, proposals, and bids in line with company strategy and policies.
• Manage assigned tender projects independently, coordinating activities from initial opportunity assessment through pricing, documentation, submission, and post submission clarification.
• Analyze tender requirements (commercial, technical, and contractual) and ensure full compliance with customer specifications, internal guidelines, and governance processes.
• Develop and validate commercial and pricing models, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and alignment with financial objectives.
• Set clear objectives for assigned tenders and contribute to achieving critical milestones, timelines, and quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including Sales, Pricing, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, and marketing teams to gather inputs and align on tender strategies.
• Participate in cross functional bid teams to support complex or strategic tenders and contribute to win loss analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify risks, gaps, or inconsistencies in tender documents and recommend solutions, improvements, or process enhancements to increase bid effectiveness.
• Apply judgment and a broad understanding of related business areas to resolve routine tender issues and support informed decision making.
• Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders to provide tender status updates, highlight risks and dependencies, and share key insights.
• Manage limited external interactions (where required) with customers or partners, typically focused on clarification requests or exchange information.
• Ensure all tender documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted within deadlines, while maintaining high standards of confidentiality and compliance.
• Provide guidance, knowledge sharing, and informal mentoring to junior analysts or support staff involved in tender activities.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• Strong knowledge of end to end tender lifecycle management, including opportunity qualification, pricing development, documentation, submission, and post submission clarifications.
• Solid understanding of commercial and pricing principles, cost structures, margin analysis, and bid competitiveness.
• Familiarity with UAE procurement practices, tender portals, and compliance requirements (e.g., government and semi government entities).
• Ability to interpret and analyze contractual terms and identify commercial and financial risks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced), PowerPoint, and Word; experience with ERP, CRM, or tender management systems is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tenders and tight deadlines simultaneously.
