Harry P. Leu Gardens is seeking enthusiastic and dependable Summer Camp Instructors to join our team for Leu Gardens Discovery Camps, held June 1 through August 7. Serving children ages 6 to 12, Discovery Camps provide immersive, nature-based experiences that blend creativity, exploration, and hands-on learning in a vibrant garden setting. This position is ideal for experienced educators and youth leaders seeking a dynamic and rewarding summer opportunity. Instructors play a key role in advancing our mission by fostering curiosity, encouraging discovery, and creating meaningful connections between children and the natural world. The Summer Camp Instructor plays a vital role in delivering engaging, nature-based educational experiences for children at Harry P. Leu Gardens. Instructors lead hands-on activities, outdoor exploration, games, and creative projects that inspire curiosity about plants, science, art, and the natural world. This position requires energy, creativity, strong classroom management skills, and a commitment to providing a safe, inclusive, and positive camp environment.

Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required Coursework or experience in education, environmental science, biology, recreation, or a related field preferred. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs. Background check required. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered
THIS IS A PART_TIME_POSITION WITH NO GUARANTEE OF A CERTAIN NUMBER OF HOURS AND NO BENEFITS. THIS POSITION INVOLVES WORKING ON A TEMP/SEASONAL CONTRACT WHICH CAN BE RENEWED ANNUALLY BASED ON PERFORMANCE AND BUSINESS NEEED.
