Nau mai haere mai ki tā mātou whānau | Welcome to our Fulton Hogan Family
As a Temporary Works Engineer within our Technical Team, you will be responsible for planning and designing in house temporary works for a range of engineering projects. You will develop designs for temporary structures including: formwork, falsework, crane platforms, staging and deep excavations , and developing means, methods and design to meet constructability challenges.
Our Civil Division specialises in Heavy Infrastructure Construction. We are currently delivering work ranging from Bridges and Wharves to Water Treatment Plants, Storage Tanks and Pipelines.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the technical problem solving side of engineering and is keen to develop their temporary works experience further. If you enjoy a challenge where no two problems are ever the same, where you can get stuck in creating bespoke solutions, then our team is the ideal fit for you. This role offers a unique balance between the practical challenges of a contractor and the technical challenges of a consultancy.
Ideally you will be based in Auckland, but we are open to conversations with candidates in Christchurch.
The Role
You will work closely with Project Managers and Engineers in order to deliver temporary works to deadline and specification. One of your strengths is your innovative design, coming up with creative solutions for our projects. You have solid knowledge of construction methodology and its impact on design and you are able to interpret and effectively communicate information of a complex nature to the team/s around you.
What we need from you

Our focus aims to also reduce our impact on the environment, and regenerate healthy new ecosystems. We look to partner with others to lift the standards of our industry and show customers lower-impact, sustainable ways of delivering infrastructure.
