Shift: Weekend Events only (dependent on Blue Jays Schedule at Rogers Centre) Normally 5 hours shifts

The Event Parking Flagger plays a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and welcoming operation of event parking locations. This position is responsible for directing traffic, assisting guests, monitoring parking capacity, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. The Flagger delivers excellent customer service while supporting safety standards and working closely with fellow team members and on-site leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet arriving and departing guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner
- Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic to ensure safe and efficient flow into and out of parking areas
- Guide guests to available parking spaces during events
- Conduct vehicle counts throughout shifts to ensure parking capacity is not exceeded
- Perform routine patrols of the parking area to monitor safety and guest needs
- Control traffic at entrances and exits as required by event operations
- Assist guests who need help locating their parked vehicles
- Respond to guest questions, concerns, and issues using respectful and clear communication
- Immediately report accidents, incidents, or safety concerns to the Operations Manager or Shift Supervisor
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned parking areas
- Communicate professionally at all times with guests, clients, and team members
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team
- Clear verbal communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-traffic or fast-paced environments
- Prior experience in parking, events, traffic control, or customer service is a plus but not required
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must successfully pass a background check, in accordance with company policy and applicable laws
- Must be authorized to work in the Canada and able to provide documentation verifying eligibility, as required by law
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to safely direct traffic and remain alert at all times
- Constantly move around the property by walking for extended periods of time, sometimes for entire duration of shift
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Work is performed outdoors for extended periods of time including up to the entire duration of shift.
- Employees are subject to environmental conditions including extreme heat and cold weather. Protection from weather conditions may be provided, but not necessarily from temperature changes
