YOUR OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting Timeclock Technician-Time & Attendance opportunity in Ames, IA. This is a temporary position. The Field Services Technician-Time & Attendance is responsible for the installation, configuration, and programming of UKG Pro Time Clocks. This role ensures that timekeeping devices are properly deployed, configured, and integrated with UKG Pro Workforce Management to support accurate employee time and attendance tracking.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install and configure UKG Pro Time Clocks and time and attendance devices at customer locations.
  • Perform on-site equipment installation, setup, and basic programming of time clock devices.
  • Configure device settings and communication connections.
  • Complete installation checklists and document equipment placement, configuration, and completion status.
  • Test installed devices to confirm proper operation and communication with the time and attendance system.
  • Coordinate with HR and internal staff to complete installations on schedule.
  • Provide basic installation guidance to internal teams on the operation of newly installed time clocks.
  • Travel to customer sites as needed to perform installations and deployments.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Required:

  • High School or GED.
  • Basic computer skills and comfort working with technology.
  • Ability to learn and follow installation procedures and technical instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to complete work accurately.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a field and/or office environment.
  • Willingness to learn UKG Pro Time Clocks and time and attendance systems.

Preferred:

  • Basic understanding of networking concepts is a plus but not required.

SCHEDULE

  • Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

  • The employee must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Primarily an office environment with some need to work in the field.
  • The noise level in the work environment is dependent on which environment you are in
  • The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends, and overnight travel as requested.
