Job Description


1.

Seed Collection


  • Participate
    in field surveys to identify and describe priority seed sources and plus
    trees.

  • Support
    seed collection from natural forests, farmland, plantations, breeding seed
    orchards, mother blocks, and other approved seed sources.

  • Assist
    in monitoring flowering, fruiting, and seed maturity of priority tree
    species.

  • Ensure
    proper labeling, traceability, and handling of collected seed lots.


2.

Seed Orchard Support


  • Assist
    in establishing and maintaining Breeding Seed Orchards (BSOs) and Mother
    Blocks (MBs) and other seed production stands


3. Training and Stakeholder Support


  • Support
    training sessions for seed cooperatives, and nursery operators, NGOs, and
    government agencies

  • Demonstrate
    proper seed collection and handling techniques during field activities.

  • Work
    closely with local authorities and community members during field
    implementation.


4. Logistics


  • Prepare
    field equipment before missions.

  • Ensure
    proper care and maintenance of field tools and equipment.

  • Assist
    with transport and safe delivery of collected seeds to designated
    destinations
