Overview

UE Manufacturing is Now Hiring Painter I located at 10000 NW 2nd, Oklahoma City, OK 73127. The Painter Level I role is an entry-level position focused on learning the fundamentals of industrial painting. This role supports experienced painters by performing basic surface preparation, following clear instructions, and assisting with painting tasks under close supervision. Training is provided.

Responsibilities

Any one position may not include all of the listed duties, nor do all of the listed examples include all tasks which may be found in positions within this classification.

• Mask, sand, clean, and prepare parts for painting.
• Follow written and verbal instructions for basic prep and paint support tasks.
• Mix paint only under supervision of a Level 2/3 painter.
• Perform basic spray gun operations (training provided).
• Assist senior painters with set‑up, clean‑up, and painting activities.
• Safely use paints, solvents, and chemicals per SDS guidelines.
• Wear required PPE, including respirators.
• Maintain cleanliness of tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Follow all safety rules and quality procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read simple work instructions and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

Education:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience:

• 0-1 year of industrial or manufacturing experience.

• Ability to frequently lift up to 25-50 lbs. Able to lift 65 lbs. from floor to shoulder level occasionally.
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the position, location, and/or customer.
• Ability to stand for extended periods while performing painting, preparation, and finishing tasks.
• Ability to frequently exert the pound force limits for push/pull 50lb f (no wheels) or 100lb f (wheels).
• Requires frequent repetitive movements, i.e. hammering, turning wrenches, screwdrivers and impact tools.
• Manual dexterity is sufficient to work with fingers.
• Normal vision with or without corrective lenses.
• Will be required to work at a minimum height of four feet off of the ground.

Working Conditions:

• Exposed to cold, heat, noise mechanical/electrical fume or odor.
• Will be required on occasion to work more than 8 hours on one shift.
• Requires crawling and working in narrow spaces.
