Job Description

The individual will be responsible of daily market list operations of purchasing and store food and beverages for hotel operation to run in smoothly manner under any circumstances.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. To ensure proper running of all activities of the purchasing department.
  2. Sourcing for suitable products/ services at the most competitive price.
  3. To ensure all daily purchases are at the lowest possible price and are of the required quality, standard, services and delivery schedule.
  4. To ensure all quarterly quotations to be complied through quotes and bids email.
  5. To ensure all quotation are timely key in to Material Control System for daily issuing of Purchase Orders.
  6. To ensure all items in MC are maintain with 3 quotations unless with valid justification on items less than 3 quotations. E.g. Agent stocks, authorized distributors etc.
  7. To report any irregularities to Purchasing Manager.
  8. To follow up with daily outstanding delivery with supplier from receiving associates daily updates.
  9. To work closely with receiving assistant on outstanding delivery, short delivery, discrepancy of order and delivery of items.
  10. To check and verify daily price discrepancies with suppliers and follow up with credit note/ debit notes respectively.
  11. To co-ordinate with chef on monthly promotion.
  12. To conduct ad-hoc spot check on goods received in verifying its quality specification, price and weight against issued POs.
  13. To obtain sample for quality evaluation for quarterly or adhoc promotions blind tasting exercises.
  14. To assist Assistant Purchasing Manager in issuing Purchase Order on non food/ general supplies orders.
  15. To deputize for APM during his absence.
  16. Perform daily filing of all documents and administrative works (Quotations/ catalogues and documentations).
  17. Cash/Bank Handling
  • Process all payment methods in accordance with Accounting procedures and policies.
  • Follow property control audit standards and cash handling procedures (e.g., blind drops).
  • Count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank.
  • Obtain assigned bank and ensure accuracy of contracted monies, obtaining change required for expected business level, and keeping bank secure at all times.
  • Transport bank to/from assigned workstation, following security procedures.
  • Set up and organize cashier workstation with designated supplies, forms, and resource materials; and maintain cleanliness of workstation at all times.

18. To ensure and follow established procedures and compliance as per LSOP guidelines.

19. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

JOB REQUIREMENTS


  • Minimum Diploma in Certification in any Discipline / GCE ‘A’ Level
  • Good computer knowledge in Computer literate and Excel, Words, power point etc
  • Good in writing, documentation, coordination skills
  • Good team player with integrity, interpersonal and follow up skills
  • Able to work independently with initiative
  • Familiarity with the purchasing practice and guideline Sound knowledge on perishable items and market list
