The Salvation Army in Albuquerque is looking to fill a full time Production Assistant positon in one of our Thrift stores. The successful candidate will be able to meet quotas set by supervisor, have good people skills and the ability to follow directions. This position is benefit eligible and comes with vacation, sick, health, vision, life insurance, and more.

The Production Assistant will prepare donations by sorting and pricing them to be sent to the store floor, repair area or disposal. This person will accept donations from the public providing receipts as necessary and distributing to the proper area. This employee will drive the truck as needed and assist with loading and unloading of donations. The Production Assistant will perform routine maintenance and maintain the cleanliness of the premises.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be 21 years of age
• Must be able to life 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Good people skills
• Must have ability to follow directions, both written and verbal
• Ability to meet quotas set by supervisor
• Valid New Mexico driver’s license with clean MVR
• Employment contingent upon successful completion of a background check

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach with hands and arms on a continuous basis. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to operate telephone, a desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
