Temporary Per Diem Phlebotomist (3-Month Assignment)
Position Type: Temporary/Per Diem
Duration: 3 Months
Hours: 10-12 hours per week


We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Per Diem Phlebotomist for a temporary three-month assignment. The selected candidate will provide high-quality specimen collection services for patients receiving care in long-term structured residential programs and outpatient treatment settings. This role requires travel between multiple program locations and the ability to work independently while maintaining exceptional patient care and professionalism.


Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections on adult patients.
  • Accurately label, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
  • Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and HIPAA regulations.
  • Verify patient identity and ensure proper documentation. Provide compassionate and professional patient care in residential and outpatient environments.
  • Maintain phlebotomy supplies and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with nursing, medical, and program staff.
  • Travel between multiple program sites as scheduled.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of an accredited Phlebotomy Training Program.
  • Current Phlebotomy Certification (preferred or required based on state regulations).
  • Minimum of one year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred, not required.
  • Have centrifuge experience (blood spinning)
  • Experience working with behavioral health, long-term residential, or outpatient populations is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
  • Travel Requirements A valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle are required.
  • Must be willing and able to travel between multiple residential and outpatient program locations throughout the workday.
