The day shift Facility Assistant is an entry-level position requiring utilization and knowledge of lived experience to support adults with substance abuse disorders. The position of Facility Assistant is under the direct supervision of the Administrative Manager and Program Director. This position must be available to provide clients in Substance Use Treatment and Recovery Residence Housing, with positive and supportive engagement, safety, through a wellness and recovery model. The Facility Assistant is responsible for ensuring that Recovery Residence facilities are kept clean and orderly, that clients perform their assigned duties and attend all required sessions and/or meetings, are responsible for data entry into an electronic health record and oversees the daily operation and provide supportive and education group and individual services based on lived experience.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: As a Facility Assistant with Peer Support Specialist certificate, your primary responsibility is to offer assistance, advocacy, and mentorship to individuals receiving Substance Use Treatment services. You will draw upon your personal lived experience with mental health or substance use challenges and recovery to establish rapport and build relationships with clients.
Peer-led Support Groups: Organize and facilitate peer-led support groups or recovery-focused activities to create a sense of community and promote social connections among clients in treatment.
