TEMPORARY PART TIME MOBILE EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Mobile Equipment Operators will learn Android Oshawa's various production lines and service all aspects of Operations as required.
  • Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility
  • Operating lift truck and Tugger cart as needed
  • Delivering & unloading parts to the line to keep production running
  • Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions
  • Checking loads area secure
  • Stacking empty pallets
  • Obtains copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility
  • Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck’s battery and lubricating equipment
  • Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards
  • Other duties as required

  • Minimum one-year related warehouse experience
  • Forklift experience: 1 year
  • Valid Driver's License
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Regularly sitting on a powered forklift, or standing on a Tugger
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Having a good sense of balance
  • Having good eye-hand-foot coordination
  • Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season
  • Good math, language and reading skills; basic computer skills
  • High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment
  • Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records
  • Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner
  • Maintain a clean & safe environment
