Our Warehouse in Freeport, Maine is searching for Monogrammers to join our team!

In this temporary position, you would play a vital role in personalizing our iconic Boat and Tote bags, backpacks, and other L.L.Bean products. By ensuring each monogram is completed with care and accuracy, you bring a meaningful, custom touch to products enjoyed by customers around the world. With continued high demand for Boat and Totes, Monogrammers are especially essential to meeting customer expectations and keeping orders moving efficiently.

Working in Monogramming means being part of a fast-paced warehouse environment where quality and consistency matter every day. The role includes physical activity such as standing for extended periods, walking throughout the work area, bending, and reaching as needed while preparing items for monogramming and shipment. Team members work hands-on with products, follow detailed specifications, and collaborate closely to meet production goals. The job can be labor‑intensive, but it’s also rewarding—offering an active workday and the satisfaction of knowing your work directly contributes to L.L.Bean products arriving personalized and ready for customers to enjoy.

– Primary job is to safely operate a computerized monogramming machine used to personalize items for customers. May also be trained in Pack Seasonal job as needed per business conditions. Required skills include:

  • Basic math, measuring skills, and ability to understand, speak, and read English.
  • Experienced using computers, familiar with Windows based applications, able to learn new application quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Constantly re-thread needles, required to wear safety glasses for entire shift.
  • Differentiate colors, symbols, and numerals.
  • Physical demands include standing for the entire shift, plus lifting/carrying totes weighing 20-30 lbs. from conveyance to the working surface on a frequent basis.

Pay range:

Pay range is $19.50 - $23.00/hr, depending on shift and rehire experience.

Shift Options:

  • 1st Shift: 7:00am – 3:30pm. Days of operation are Sunday–Friday (potential for Saturday pick-up shifts according to business needs)
  • 2nd Shift:  4:30pm – 1:00am. Days of operation are Sunday–Thursday (potential for Friday shifts according to business needs)

Minimum availability: Candidates must be available at least 18 hours per week (three 6-hour days)

Maximum availability: Potential for 40+ hours per week (actual hours worked each week are based on business need)
