This position is open to current Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) staff only.

A temporary On-Call Crew Manager vacancy has become available at the Sudbury Station. The vacancy is expected to be for 3 months in the first instance and will be reviewed 4-weekly.

This role is conditioned to the On Call duty system and will be filled based on eligibility and performance on a temporary basis.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service are looking to fill this vacancy with a motivated and committed individual who can demonstrate strong organisational values in line with SCC and SFRS.

In your statement, please state your current PDR placement and explain how you are eligible to apply for this position.

  2. Provide an example and explain how you have managed resources effectively and delivered an excellent service to those in need of assistance.
  3. Name a time when you have assisted with a project and what you achieved. How did you help obtain acceptance/agreement to support the desired project outcomes?
  4. What are the current and future challenges faced by SFRS in recruiting and retaining on-call personnel? Please explain how you could help to address these challenges.
