We are currently seeking a person who identifies strongly with our mission and core values to join our team in Spokane as a Temporary Inventory Control Clerk in our Shipping Dept. This is an ideal role for someone  who has one year of inventory control experience in a warehouse environment, has high attention to detail, strong communication skills and who can work well on a team.
Please Note: This role has potential to grow into a permanent full-time role for a successful candidate.
Purpose:
Receives, stores, and distribute items such as materials, tools and products throughout the warehouse and manufacturing facility. Ships items per purchase order, work order, sales order or shipping requests forms.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize various software programs and customer portals to ship items per purchase order, work order, sales order or shipping request forms.
- Picks material to fill work orders and MRs to support manufacturing.
- Loads and unloads trucks.
- Receives finished goods and components into inventory.
- Transfers, sorts, identifies and marks materials and items from receiving or production areas for storage in designated locations.
- Assists in the input of inventory transactions into ERP system or KARDEX, recording amounts of material(s) or item(s) received or distributed.
- Assists in pulling, labeling and verifying finished goods pulled for shipping picks.
- Participates in annual fiscal year-end inventory count.
- Operates warehouse equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, weight counting scales, stretch wrap machine and Dock Locks.
- Performs duties in conformance to company BMS and AS9100/ISO standards and procedures.
- Maintains a safe, clean and orderly workplace.
- Immediately notify supervisor and/or Safety Manager of any safety and health concerns and problems.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- High-school diploma or GED.
- Must maintain a good driving record with no major violations and remain insurable with Lighthouse auto insurance.
- Minimum one year experience in manufacturing warehouse setting preferred.
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions. Effective overall communication skills.
- Accurate counting, basic math skills including strong ability to use calculator.
- Basic data entry and familiarity with computerized inventory systems.
- Forklift certification, preferred.
- Ability to maintain courteous and positive relations with internal and external customers.
- Good prioritization and organizational skills.
- Able to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
- Strong ability to work in a Team oriented environment.
- Ability to interact with a diverse group of workers in a positive and respectful manner.
- Working knowledge or willingness to learn American Sign Language preferred.
- Ability to stand up to 8 hours with standard rest-periods.
- Ability to perform work assignments requiring repetitive motions.
- Ability to work schedule as assigned.
