qathet General Hospital (qGH) is a 33-bed hospital located on the beautiful Northern Sunshine Coast. As an inpatient care service provider, you would be tasked with managing acute care patients whose care is not being provided by a specialist acting as MRP. Specialist services currently available include General Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Midwifery.

Physicians typically provide coverage in 7-day service blocks (Monday through Sunday), and service responsibilities include daytime inpatient care as well as on-call coverage for admitted patients outside of regular daytime hours. Remuneration is supported through the Longitudinal Family Practice (LFP) Payment Model.

Travel and accommodation support is available through Vancouver Coastal Health. Powell River is easily accessible via a 30-minute flight from Vancouver on Pacific Coastal Airlines or Harbour Air, and can also be reached by road and ferry from the Lower Mainland. Qualifications

Education, Licensing, & Experience:

• Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) – Full
• Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) - Mandatory
• Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) - Mandatory
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Mandatory
