We are seeking a Temporary Head Chef to join our care home in Aylesbury. This role is crucial in providing high-quality meals that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of our residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a commitment to delivering exceptional service in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary requirements and preferences of residents.
• Manage kitchen operations, including food safety and hygiene standards.
• Supervise kitchen staff and ensure efficient workflow.
• Monitor stock levels and order supplies as needed.
• Create and update menus to reflect seasonal ingredients and resident feedback.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff to enhance their skills and performance.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality and catering industry.
• Culinary qualification or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Passion for cooking and a commitment to quality.
