Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the appearance of the grounds of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma properties. You will report to the Grounds Supervisor or Manager.
Primary Tasks:
Operates various types of lawn equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, hedge trimmers, edgers, blowers, etc.
Pick up trash and other routine tasks to maintain the grounds.
Caring for established lawns and landscaping by mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, weeding, and planting.
Uses hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, and hedge trimmers.
Tree, hedge, and shrub care that includes using shears, pruners, or chain saws.
Occasional manual removal of snow and ice from walkways, drives, etc.
Keeping work areas clear of clutter and debris.
Perform other duties as may be assigned.
