Temporary General Assemblers and Sewing Machine Operators

Currently, our Operations Team is seeking Temporary Mechanical Assemblers and Sewing Machine Operators at our Pembroke, Ontario office.

The successful candidates will prepare and assemble/and or sew quality personal protective products.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Operates production line equipment of a level of complexity requiring the specified training or assembling products, units, machines, equipment, and/or subassemblies that are larger, heavier, and/or more complex;
• May cut materials;
• Drills, taps, or reams holes, using drill press or portable drill.
• Aligns components, and bolts, screws, or rivets them together, using hand tools or portable powered tools;
• Tests or assist in testing operation of completed product;
• Assists more junior operators in performance of skilled function;
• May repair units that fail to meet specifications;
• Mounts assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, on chassis panel;
• Perform inspection to ensure maintenance of quality standards;
• May perform assembly operations under microscope or other magnifying device;
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:
• Understand safety features and safe operation methods for all machines;
• At least two (2) years of production/manufacturing experience;
• Ability to communicate and read in English;
• Ability to work overtime when required;
• At least two (2) years of mechanical assembly/and or sewing experience.
