ROLE SUMMARY:

King’s College School La Moraleja is looking to appoint a Temporary EYFS Teacher to join our Early Years team from January 2027.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, stimulating and engaging learning environment where young children feel safe, supported and encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and love of learning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework.
• Create a warm, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning through play.
• Support children’s social, emotional, physical and academic development.
• Observe, assess and document children’s progress and use this information to inform future planning.
• Differentiate learning activities according to individual needs, interests and stages of development.
• Build positive and effective relationships with children, colleagues and families.
• Work collaboratively with the Early Years team to ensure consistency and high standards across the provision.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming and well-organised learning environment.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school and support school events and activities where appropriate.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• A recognised teaching qualification and relevant experience working within Early Years / EYFS.
• Experience teaching young children in an international or British-curriculum setting would be advantageous.
• A strong understanding of the principles and practice of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
• A warm, nurturing and child-centred approach to teaching and learning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive and professional team.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
