About the Role

As a Senior Engineer, Mechanical Package, you will take responsibility for mechanical and multidisciplinary equipment packages on the Bay du Nord FEED and Bridging phase contract.

In this role, you will act as Package Responsible Engineer (PRE), with ownership of technical requirements and supplier interfaces. You will work closely with project team, procurement, suppliers, and other engineering disciplines to ensure high-quality, cost-effective solutions delivered in accordance with project requirements.

This is a temporary position supporting the Bay du Nord FEED and Bridging phase, with an expected end date of 31 December 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) for multidisciplinary equipment packages
  • Work with the agreed deliverables for the mechanical discipline on the Bay du Nord FEED and Bridging phase contract
  • Establish technical specifications in accordance with project requirements
  • Participate in bid evaluations and supplier selection together with procurement
  • Perform technical follow-up of suppliers
  • Review and approve supplier documentation
  • Report and communicate according to project-defined routines
  • Participate in work across other disciplines and provide input to overall system design
  • Perform other relevant tasks based on project requirements

Qualifications & Skills

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Hydraulics, or a related field
  • Vocational technical college
  • Experience working in engineering roles within complex, project-based environments
  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems and equipment packages
  • Ability to manage interfaces across disciplines and external suppliers
  • Fluency in English and Norwegian (written and spoken)

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience as Package Responsible Engineer (PRE)
  • Background in the offshore industry projects
  • Experience with steel structure fabrication and supplier follow-up
  • Familiarity with multidisciplinary engineering environments
