Temporary Employee (Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology)

Job Profile Title

Temporary Employee - Non-ExemptThe candidate will be asked to organize and catalogue imaging files collected during a longitudinal cohort of pregnant patients. The cohort, Placenta3D, is an NIH-sponsored cohort that recruited pregnant patients to have a research ultrasound at 3 timepoints in pregnancy. The scanning protocol for complex with numerous 3D volumes and Doppler images obtained. There are over 400 subjects and 1000 scans collected. However, there is a need to catalogue and label the various images obtained for each visit so we can prepare the data for analysis.
The temporary employee will work under Dr Nadav Schwartz, MD, a Professor of OBGYN in the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine at PENN and is the principal investigator on the study.

Responsibilities:

  • Export imaging files from ultrasound machines and servers for review
  • View and catalogue ultrasound images obtained on study participants
  • Consolidate duplicate images and filter out erroneous or unrelated images
  • Support the quality assurance process that the study team deploys on the images

Required Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of human biology and pregnancy
  • Organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills and comfort with Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Any experience with medical imaging, specifically ultrasound
  • Experience with RedCap database
  • Prior experience with clinical research

Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job’s level.
