The Election Training Specialist is responsible for preparing Harris County election workers to successfully conduct elections by delivering high-quality training, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting polling locations throughout the election cycle. This role requires strong communication skills, adaptability, professionalism, and the ability to respond effectively in both structured and rapidly changing environments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from an accredited educational institution.
At least one (1)-year of training/teaching experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to work under stress and without direct supervision.
Knowledgeable of the general operations of an election and the Harris County website.
Be professional and have good interpersonal skills.
Computer proficient in Microsoft Office suite, can type at least 30 words per minute, and be willing to learn new computer programs and applications.
Must have the ability to prioritize tasks and possess excellent communication skills.
