Berklee NYC is Berklee’s professional-based campus that houses both academic programs and learning programs, and Power Station at Berklee NYC, a 24-7 professional recording studio.
Two facilities on the campus include Power Station at Berklee NYC and the BNYC Annex located one block from Power Station.
Job Description
Reporting to the Academic Technology Manager, Educational Support Associates are responsible for a variety of tasks related to the academic functions of Berklee NYC.
Collaborating with faculty, staff, and students at BNYC, you will assist in tasks such as classroom, academic labs, rehearsal, and performance environments setup and breakdown, and ensure related educational spaces are prepared, functional, safe, and welcoming for students, faculty, and guests.
You will find success in this role if you possess an acute attention to detail, demonstrate a basic understanding of audio production (live and/or recording), and are a team player with strong communication skills who thrives in dynamic environments and excels at collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals. You are willing to work flexible hours to adapt and accommodate a dynamic schedule of classes and academic activities throughout the year.
SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, ETC. (Responsible for on-call, 24 HR. coverage, etc.):
May be required to move audio equipment (up to 60 lbs), Pianos, and other instruments as required to execute a successful class, event, or performance.
Flexible availability is required to support student services sometimes up to 7 days/week during the academic year.
Hiring Range: $24-$26/hour; salary dependent on relevant experience and education.
