This temporary position is intended to provide intermittent staffing support and operational coverage as needed. Performs a variety of routine and complex public safety work in the performance of the Detention Division, providing for the incarceration and well-being of pre-sentenced and sentenced inmates through care, custody and control.
Temporary positions are not guaranteed a minimum number of hours and may be scheduled based on operational need.
Pay Rate
The hourly range is from $32.06 to $40.01, depending on experience, plus partial benefits.

Gunnison County was created on March 9, 1877 and was named for John Williams Gunnison. The population was 15,324 as of the 2010 census. The county seat is the City of Gunnison.
