What you'll do and what you'll bring:
Provide coaching and instruction for the Ball State Men's Golf program. Assist with the planning and execution of practices, tournaments, recruiting activities, player development, and other program operations as assigned by the Head Coach.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide technical instruction to student-athletes to improve golf skills and competitive performance.
Assist with planning and conducting practices, individual instruction, and player development activities.
Assist with recruiting prospective student-athletes who meet the University's academic and athletic standards.
Support tournament preparation, travel planning, practice scheduling, and daily program operations.
Assist with video review, statistical analysis, and opponent scouting, as appropriate.
Foster the academic success, personal development, and well-being of student-athletes.
Build positive relationships with prospective student-athletes, current student-athletes, alumni, and supporters of the program.
Ensure compliance with all NCAA, Mid-American Conference, and Ball State University rules, policies, and procedures.
Represent Ball State University Athletics in a professional and positive manner.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Men's Golf Coach.
Working Conditions:
Frequent evening and weekend work.
Regular travel with the team.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and occasionally lift or move equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Collegiate golf playing and/or coaching experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of the sport of golf.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required.
Current authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
Collegiate coaching or competitive playing experience at the NCAA Division I level.
Experience recruiting prospective student-athletes.
Knowledge of NCAA Division I rules and regulations.
Experience using recruiting, video, or player development technology.
