Overview:
Our client is a leading financial services
organization based in Barbados. Due to increasing workload, they are seeking to
appoint an "accounts clerk" level candidate who is available to
commence employment in June/July 2026 for a 3 - 6 month contract (possible to
be converted to a permanent role).

Duties and Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform
  bank and corporate credit card reconciliations.
• 
  Check
  that the statutory returns are prepared and submitted for review within
  stipulated timeframes.
• 
  Prepare
  reports or schedules as required including the following areas:
  AP/AR, GL schedules, FA schedules, statutory remittances

• 
  Reconcile
  the general ledger monthly lead schedules for review.
• 
  Prepare
  and post all month-end journals within stipulated timeframes.

• 
  Five (5)
  CXC subjects, including Mathematics and English or Accounting, at General
  Proficiency level (or equivalent).
• 
  Fundamentals
  in Accounting (FIA) qualification is considered an asset.
• 
  At least
  one year of accounting experience in a similar role.

• 
  Knowledge
  of generally accepted accounting principles.
• 
  Strong
  analytical and problem-solving skills.
• 
  High
  attention to detail and accuracy.
• 
  Good
  communication and interpersonal skills.
• 
  Ability
  to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.

  Proficiency
  in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
