Job Location Temple City Baekjeong - Temple City, CA 91780 Salary Range $16.50 - $17.50 Hourly

Job Category Restaurant - Food Service

Bussers serve customers by setting tables; placing and replacing silverware; adhering to sanitation and safety policies; clearing and cleaning tables, chairs, and environment. The ideal busser will have superior customer services skills and a positive attitude while working with their team members. They will pay attention to detail, go above and beyond and always be helpful in assisting where needed.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cleans and sanitizes tables and chairs
  • Maintains a clean work environment in FOH
  • Restock all supplies, including grill plates, utensils, plate ware, etc.
  • Clean hoods and sets up grill foundation before opening hours, as well as scrape and clean the inside of grills
  • Send all dirty grease and charcoal holders to the dishwasher
  • Maintains a positive atmosphere and is polite to customers
  • Pushcart for dishes
  • Clean windows and sweep floors inside the restaurant
  • Change both bussing towels every hour
  • Empty bus tubs at delivery station
  • Refill water and iced tea containers
  • Run dirty water containers through dishwasher
  • Check restrooms: wipe down stalls, restock toilet paper and paper towels
  • Take dirty grill holders to the back and replace with new ones
  • Take out trash and wash trash can on cart to leave for drying overnight
  • Break down bus cart and wipe down everything with sanitizer
  • Separate charcoal holders and rocks into separate bins
    • Soak rocks in bus tub with salt water
    • Send inserts through dishwasher for cleaning
  • Take stools inside and neatly stack them on the side
  • Take apart hoods and send to dishwasher
  • Prep a bin to place hood pieces after washing
  • Sweep and mop floors with cleaning solution

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Strong customer service operations skills preferred
  • Superior skills in interaction with guests preferred
  • Prior bussing and/or restaurant experience preferred

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance; and stoop or kneel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Proper lifting, pushing, and pulling techniques are required.

BENEFITS OVERVIEW

  • All employees are offered medical, dental, vision, supplemental life, disability, hospital, and accident insurance. Employees are able to enroll in the company 401k plan after 90 days of employment. Paid sick leave accrues at the rate of 1 hour per 30 hours worked with a carryover cap of 48 hours.
