Job Title: Temp Storeroom

Location: Portland Operations Center

Pay: $27.63 / hour

Hours: Day Shift

It is recognized that the Company is engaged in a public service requiring continuous operation, and it is agreed that recognition of such an obligation of continuous service is imposed upon both the Company and the Union.

Responsible for pulling and organizing inventory to fulfill work orders as well as maintaining inventory organization and accuracy.

DUTIES: (Essential Job Responsibilities)

  • Work safely.
  • Keep stock properly labeled, receive, check and sort material in Storeroom.
  • Issue and return material, supplies, and tools.
  • Use hand tools in the assembly and disassembly of materials.
  • Sort, recondition, and restock material in salvage area.
  • Operate vehicles, such as forklifts, small trucks, and pickups.
  • Enter inventory transaction data into the PGE Inventory Management System.
  • Maintain general housekeeping in storeroom and in yard.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: (Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required)

  • Minimum high school degree or equivalent.
  • Must possess and maintain valid driver's license.
  • Must acquire PGE forklift certification within 6 months of start date and maintain.
  • Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
  • Inventory/warehouse experience-minimum of 3 years, preferred.

During the probationary period following reassignment to any job, at least two progress reports will be completed. These reports will be discussed with the employee by their immediate supervisor, and copies of each will be given to them.
