We are seeking a talented and passionate Temp Chef De Partie to join our dynamic team at our Fresh Food Cafe Bistro in Berkhamsted. This temporary role is ideal for an experienced chef looking to showcase their culinary skills in a vibrant hospitality environment. You will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality dishes that reflect our commitment to fresh, locally sourced ingredients, ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the menu and standards set by the Head Chef.
• Assist in the management of kitchen operations, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and timely delivery of meals.
• Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
• Contribute to menu development and suggest improvements based on seasonal ingredients.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Chef De Partie or in a similar role within a busy kitchen environment.
• Culinary qualification or relevant training is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards of food quality.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Passion for cooking and a creative approach to food preparation.
