Job Description
Capgemini is seeking a skilled Temenos Transact FX Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring the successful implementation and enhancement of Temenos Transact FX solutions. You will gather and analyze business requirements, provide insights into foreign exchange operations, and support system configuration to drive business improvements and operational efficiency.
As a Temenos Transact FX Business Analyst, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical specifications, validate system functionalities, and participate in UAT processes. You will play a crucial role in facilitating communications between business units and IT to ensure system alignment with business goals.
The key requirements of this multi-facted role are:
Business Analysis & Requirements
- Engage with business stakeholders (Front Office, Operations, Treasury, Finance, Risk, Compliance) to elicit and document FX business requirements within a core banking context.
- Analyse existing FX processes and define target-state FX operating models aligned to Temenos Transact capabilities.
- Produce high-quality artefacts including:
- Business Requirements Documents (BRD)
- Functional Specifications (FS)
- Process flows and swimlane diagrams
- Data mappings and interface specifications
- Ensure clear traceability of requirements through design, build, test, and deployment.
Temenos Transact FX Functional Expertise
- Act as the functional SME for FX in Temenos Transact, including:
- FX deal capture (spot, forward, swaps – as applicable)
- Deliverable FX products (sport and forward)
- Non-Deliverable Forwards (NDFs) for restricted currencies
- FX rates, spreads, and pricing models
- FX settlement and nostro/vostro processing
- FX accounting and P&L treatment
- Revaluation and end-of-day processing
- Configure and support Transact FX-related components in collaboration with technical teams (no standalone TAP configuration).
- Advise on standard Transact functionality vs. customisation, promoting out-of-the-box usage where possible.
Integration & Data
- Define and support FX-related integrations between Transact and surrounding systems, such as:
- Trading or order capture systems
- Market data / rate providers
- Payments engines and clearing systems
- GL, Finance, Risk, and Regulatory Reporting platforms
- Produce FX data mappings covering deal lifecycle, rates, settlements, and accounting entries.
- Support reconciliation processes across FX, payments, and accounting systems.
Testing & Delivery Support
- Support SIT, UAT, and regression testing phases for FX scope:
- Review and validate FX test scenarios and test cases
- Support defect triage and resolution
- Validate FX results (rates, settlements, accounting postings)
- Work closely with product owners and delivery leads to ensure FX scope is delivered on time and to quality.
- Support cutover, migration, and go-live activities related to FX portfolios.
Requirements
Essential
Strong Business Analyst experience on Temenos Transact (T24) programmes
8+ years of experience delivering FX functionality within a Transact core banking environment, including:
- FX Spot and FX Forward products
- Non‑Deliverable Forwards (NDFs) for emerging or restricted currencies
- Understanding of deliverable vs non‑deliverable FX settlement models
- FX lifecycle from deal capture through settlement, accounting, and revaluation
- Interaction between FX products, payments, and core banking accounting
Solid understanding of:
- FX products and lifecycle
- FX settlements and accounting
- Interaction between FX and payments
- Experience working in large-scale banking transformation programmes.
- Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable
- Experience in Private Banking or Wealth Management environments.
- Knowledge of regulatory considerations impacting FX (e.g. MiFID II, EMIR, best execution – where applicable).
- Experience working across multi-country or multi-entity banking rollouts.
- Prior experience replacing or integrating with standalone FX/trading platforms (including TAP) is an advantage.
