Job Description

Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas Cityis seeking a Telephone Operator to join our team. You will have the opportunity to answerinbound calls to the switchboardanddistributethe calls to theappropriate departmentor individual.This position handles all emergency events in a calm and efficient manner following the established process for the facility in which the emergency event occurs.

Shift Details Full Time Day

Responsibilities

  • Provides helpful information to internal and external callers

  • Maintains detailed documentation in theappropriate communicationlogs

  • Dispatches Security requests usingtwo wayradiosin a timely manner

  • Monitors alerts and alarms

  • Notifiesappropriate departmentsor individuals whenrequired

  • Assistswith mentoring and training of new employees

We are looking for someonewith exceptional interpersonal skills and empathy for those in crisis. The ideal candidate has strong critical thinking skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks at once, prioritize work, and manage interruptions easily. To be successful in this role,strong customer service skills, willingness to work,adaptabilityandaneagernessto learnisrequired This position will require you to work autonomously as well as with a team
