Job Description

Responsible for the prompt and courteous response to all incoming call signals, includingemergency signals, and paging system.

Job Duties:

  • Answers incoming call signals promptly and courteously, in the order in which they are received.
  • Must give progress reports, when caller is waiting on the line (every 0 to 40 seconds).
  • Responds to Code calls (Cod Blue, Emergency, etc.).
  • Responds and follows up on any inter-hospital calls.
  • Responds and transmits all overhead and beeper paging.
  • Maintains all records pertaining to the Telephone Operator work assignments (Patient Telephones, Emergency Calls, Long Distance Calls, Code Blue, etc.)
  • Performs all other duties as required.

Formal Education Desired (not required) criteria include: This position requires a minimum formal education of High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1 year job-related experience.

Minimum one year experience with telephone company orhospital experience.

Saturday and Sunday 11pm-7AM.

Hourly rate $27.2835
