Telephone Business Development Manager

As a Telephone Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving mortgage lending growth by developing and strengthening relationships with broker and distributor partners across your allocated territory. Working closely with the field-based Business Development Manager, you will proactively engage with existing and prospective intermediaries, promoting the Bank’s products and propositions to generate new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver agreed lending and activity targets by providing proactive telephone-based support and relationship management to broker and distributor partners.
- Develop and grow intermediary relationships, identifying opportunities to increase market awareness, business volumes and territory performance.
- Identify and onboard new broker relationships to support the continued growth and development of the Bank’s distribution network.
- Promote the Bank’s products, proposition, and brand through regular engagement with intermediaries, industry events, meetings and roadshows.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to share market insights, support product development, and contribute to the achievement of business objectives.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Previous experience in a mortgage related sales or account management role is advantageous.
- Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Word and Excel are essential.
- Intermediate knowledge of the mortgage market (products and regulation) is advantageous.
- Intermediate knowledge of mortgage distribution routes is desirable.
