Night Shift
Position Purpose:
The Telemetry Technician provides ongoing observation and interpretation of cardiac rhythms; prepares and maintains telemetry records and maintains a functioning telemetry system.
What you will do:
Observes and interprets cardiac rhythms.
Records ECG strips at designated intervals and as changes occur.
Prints cardiac rhythm strips as needed.
Notifies RN of all changes in rhythm and heart rate.
Maintains telemetry records.
Ensures proper functioning of telemetry system. Trouble shoots equipment problems.
Updates Communication Board.
Communicates with internal/external customers/colleagues in a courteous, positive, empathic, and professional manner. Displays excellent telephone etiquette. Speaks to everyone. Always communicates with care. Speaks calmly, clearly, and courteously. Stops and listens when a customer/colleague speaks. Communicates consistently with colleagues in a professional and respectful manner and accepts assignments willingly.
Hours/Schedule:
Part Time - Rotating Wednesdays and every 3rd weekend
Position Qualifications:
Education
High school education or equivalent
Experience:
Demonstrated competence working with patients is preferred.

Demonstrates continuous application of proper body mechanics.
