Our Building Services team are seeking two experienced HVAC Technicians to join our Telecommunications team based in Wiri, Auckland. This team supports a wide range of critical sites across the Auckland, Waikato and Northland regions, providing service, maintenance, breakdown response and project support for HVAC systems.
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same and your work has real impact. Our technicians maintain essential HVAC systems for major suppliers that support telecommunications infrastructure, meaning our team often forms part of critical response capability during outages and disaster recovery situations.
Key responsibilities include:
Undertaking scheduled and reactive HVAC maintenance, including cleaning, adjusting, installing and repairing commercial HVAC systems
Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults and carrying out repairs
Responding to breakdowns and urgent callouts
Supporting both service and project work depending on operational needs
Completing accurate service reports and job documentation
Participating in an on-call roster to support our 24/7 operational environment
These are permanent full-time positions, working 40 hours per week, with overtime and on-call allowances. Travel across the upper North Island may be required at times but we provide excellent penalty rates, allowances, accommodation and meals. We make sure you’re well looked after while you’re on the road!

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Level 4 Certificate in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, or equivalent industry experience
EWRB registration and practising licence as an Electrical Service Technician (or working towards)
Experience servicing and maintaining commercial HVAC systems
The ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults efficiently
A Full NZ Drivers Licence
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
A flexible and adaptable approach, as workloads shift across service and project activities
Dual trade candidates (qualified Electrician and HVAC Technician) are strongly encouraged to apply.
